While Zuckerberg adopts a more humorous approach to life online, Musk’s journey appears to edge towards a more controversial and reckless dialogue. Recently, the British government admonished Musk after he insinuated that a civil war was looming in the UK, highlighting the risks involved with his statements.

Challenges to free speech born from Musk’s approach bear resemblance to the resistance Twitter faced under previous management in repressive regimes that have attempted to stifle dissent. For instance, in Venezuela, President Maduro instituted a 10-day blockade on X, fearing user activism could undermine his authority.
