Under the theme ‘Engineer in India for the World,’ this venture aims to leverage Tata Technologies’ digital engineering talent to enhance BMW Group’s global IT operations and software coding capabilities. Key areas of development include automated driving systems, infotainment, digital services, and the automation of product development. Initial staffing will include 100 experienced professionals from Tata Technologies, with plans for significant growth over the upcoming years.
Christoph Grote from BMW Group highlighted that the collaboration will accelerate advancements in vehicle software and take advantage of India’s robust software talent pool. The initiative seeks to provide a premium automotive experience through cutting-edge software processes and tools, enabling innovations in highly automated driving and artificial intelligence.
