Prince Ravichak, a prominent Francophile, emphasizes a vision of collaboration between Cambodia and France through the club. He stated, “I am officially a candidate to take over AS Saint-Étienne,” and promised to invest in the club for long-term stability.
Once a dominant force in French football, Saint-Étienne has faced financial challenges since its peak in the 1960s and 70s, leading to a decline in performance. The club’s budget has notably decreased from €110 million to €70 million, limiting its spending on player acquisitions.
